That happened to me when I had left the trunk not fully closed. It took me a moment to figure out why the remote was unresponsive.

Never even thought of that, waders. Good catch! If I would have left my trunk open a little and the remote didn't lock, I wouldn't even thought of that.

MoonRoof

Has anyone gotten a nice sliding moonroof without buying the high end model of Ridgeliner?

I guess I would have to buy that aftermarket, unless someone knows a trick?

Re: 2006 Honda Ridgeline Features

Hay guys did any one now about this feature? first let me tell you that I have a BMW 540 and the cool feature is that you can hold the key transmitter button down for a few seconds and all windows and roof open so I tried that on my new 06 ridgeline and all the windows only open that I think is a cool feature but I did not know that maybe some of you did I think that’s cool

Re: 2006 Honda Ridgeline Features

I thought I had learned all of the features of my Ridgeline while shopping for them, but this is something I never knew. For those of you who haven't tried it, press the unlock button on your keyfob twice, holding it down the second time. Presto, the windows come down! Comes in handy when your Ridge has been sitting in the sun for a while

Yup thats always a nice surprise. Here's another one. You can't roll up your windows with the remote, but you can with your key in the lock. Turn it twice to the left (counter clockwise) and hold it on your second turn and watch them all go up together.

Re: 2006 Honda Ridgeline Features

I like to park at restaurants were I can see my truck and when people walk by to admire it, I start to let the windows down some and wait and watch. If they keep looking, I let them down more, and if they continue to look, I set off the panic alarm! Of COURSE I don't let them see who is doing it! I do wish Honda would also allow you to roll the windows up via the remote. Once you let them down, either you watch your truck like a Hawk, or you have to get up and use the key to get them all back up. It would be a LOT more fun to do it all with the remote.

Re: 2006&2007 Honda Ridgeline Features

Most of these features aren't a surprise if one would sit down and fully read the manual before using the vehicle. I guess I'm not the typical guy, the first thing I did was read the users' manual from cover to cover the night I bought the truck. Everything I see a surprise on the forums is listed in the manual. You should always read your manuals before operating any piece of machinery or vehicle
