It was actually kind of fun seeing the other trucks trying to hit the hill and not having much luck.

I've been an owner since May 2006, and wouldn't trade it for anything.
Davisn456,

I cross that road every day on my way to work, but that weekend I did not yet own my RL. Glad to hear it did well, and I will keep my eyes out for you on the road, so if you see a steel blue waving, it is probably me.

Actually passed a dark cherry pearl today on old goff mountain. Maybe there are more Ridgelines around here than I thought !!

Glad you still love your RL, seems like most people are very happy overall with them.

Congrats on your new Steel Blue from a fellow Steel Blue ROCer!

I keep hearing of blind spots. One my vans and SUVs I usually stick on a small convex mirror onto the drivers side mirror to help with this.

Will it help with the Ridge's blind spots?

Will this be possible with heated mirrors?
I add a blind spot mirror to every vehicle I own. I feel it helps on the RL as much as any vehicle. I spent lots of time adjusting my mirrors to make sure I could see the areas blinded by both rear pillars. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm contemplating adding another blind spot mirror to the passenger's side mirror.

As far as heated mirrors go, they do loosen up the glue over time. I've had them slide down and ultimately fall off. Since they're only $2, I just scrape the old glue off the mirror and stick another one on. Usually, I can get a good year or two out of one.

Thanks for the welcome....

Where do you locate the blind spot mirrors ? I always went as far to the outside of the mirror as possible, on the lower corners, but others have said you should go to the high outside mirror corner ... any thoughts ??

Hey Chrome...

I totally forgot that I videotaped some of the icy road crossing Goff Mountain, thought you'd get a kick out of it:

Pretty cool, looks like your RL handled the ice with no problem .... I did notice the only thing on the road was 4wd pick-ups ...LOL

My Fiance was crazy enough to take her 06 Mitsubishi Eclipse out in it, but she managed to get it to work. Funny thing is we work together, but she always insists on driving her own car to prove a point. (So other employees cannot say they couldn't get to work )

Thanks for sharing !

Nice video on the snowy road. Looks pretty scary to the right side of the road.
By the way, I moved my spot mirrors to the upper outside. I am able to see the road and other traffic on the bottom part. When the mirror was on the bottom all I was able to see out the top was sky.

I think this may be what I try on the RL once it gets warm enough here to apply them. Seems like the position you mention would make more sense. I have a set of the 2" adjustable in the garge waiting to be put on, so this would allow me to fine tune the spots while still having the side mirror to still use almost fully.

Thanks for the input !

Thanks for the response, that seems to be the spot people recommend. I will give it a go.
