Re: Smiles per Gallon!

Yeah! Maybe a little in the tank would boost the MPG's?

Re: Smiles per Gallon!

I don't get it either, mine get 17 mpg in the city and 22 on the highway.

Re: Smiles per Gallon!

I am at 1500 miles and get a solid 18 MPG. I'm looking for it to get better as it gets broken in.

Re: Smiles per Gallon!

is there a way to reset the system so the truck re-learns your driving habits?

Re: Smiles per Gallon!

Part of my bad mileage is probably due to:

A. I have the roof rack

B. It's been colder than hell here the last few weeks

C. I have been taking a lot of short trips

If it is still getting 15 mpg in spring and summer, then something is wrong.

Re: Smiles per Gallon!

Around town I get 17.5 MPG. I just got back from a trip from Atlanta, Ga to Richmond, VA. and back. I got just over 20 MPG. I am happy with that, eventhough the gas price went up 25 cents over the weekend.

Re: Smiles per Gallon!

Well we drove from Memphis to Sikeston Missouri and it was windy, lots of crosswinds and my average speed was about 71 mph. I burned a tank of gas today and showed 18.3 miles per gallon.

I think it's getting better, I have about 1600 miles on the truck at this point. Around town and driving it hard I am averaging now about 15 mpg.

I like the quick response of the truck. Since I have the Navi, its easy to use the calculator each time I fill up. Today I forgot to reset the trip counter so I will have to skip a tank and check my mileage next round.

Happy Ridge Ridin!

Re: Smiles per Gallon!

I averaged 13.5 mpg on the first tank.
I filled up this morning, and returned an average of 16 mpg on the second tank. Same driving conditions for both (just using the truck every once in a while, not much highway use yet, since I still have a month left on my other car's lease, which I use the most).
