Re: Smiles per Gallon!

Took my first trip in the Ridgleline RTX this weekend. I had a little over 600 miles on the odometer when I left. I drove to Jacksonville FL and back. I drove my normal driving style, 70-80mph, ac, with as much Cruise Control as I can. Most of the trip was Highway, but there is probably 50miles of secondary roads, each way. I got 20.4 down and 19.9 on the return. Needless to say I am tickled.

I'm getting 16.5. I have 700 miles on my Ridgeline, and I don't baby it, but I don't light'er up either. Interesting reading.

Re: Smiles per Gallon!

Still averaging 15 mpg in the city , I have 19 thousand miles on the truck. I can get 19 mpg on average on the highway and 10-11 mpg pulling a 5000 lbs travel trailer. I don't baby the truck, I just drive it. Works good, nothing has broke. Cheers!

Re: Smiles per Gallon!

Not once I hear people mention anything about how much weight are being carry on. I do understand the road condition, speed, city street vs. highway, but not once mention anything about what they have on their truck. Roof rack, sunroof, running board, tool in the trunk, fat wive on the right. Fat in-law in the back. Those weight do contribute to your mpg too you know...

Cool Re: Smiles per Gallon!

My 2007 has 43000 miles on it and i'm only getting 13.6 mpg. What's going on here? I love the truck, but I expected in the 16mpg range in town??!?

Re: Smiles per Gallon!

How much air in your tires? I had noticed mine were 30-32 which is too low.
I also waxed the beast trying to squeeze out better mpg. At just under 8,000 miles I seem to consistantly get 17 mpg.
