The best color for dust is dirt = beige. How soon do you have to buy it?

Re: Ridgeline on my short list

Ah spring ! with the pollen count exceeding 20 kabillion spores per cubic inch (or per cubic cm for you Canucks)!
I would like to have my Nimbus Gray truck painted a bright yellow-green just for the months of April, May, and June.

Just an observation . . . with all the pix, posts, and detailing advice shared by the guys and gals on this forum, one would have to conclude that either Ridgeline owners are either anal retentive when it comes to "vehicle hygeine" OR they love their trucks so much, that keeping them clean goes hand-in-hand with pride of ownership. OR . . .as in my case, a combination of both!

So, regardless of what color Ridge you buy, from Formal Black (for those "gluttons for punishment") to dirt-hiding (but beautiful) Billet Silver, you'll most probably ENJOY washing and waxing your ride. and you may feel COMPELLED to keep it spotless. (well, at least 'til the novelty wears off . . . like in 5 or 10 years maybe!)

Therefore, buy the color you really like and resign yourself to the fact that you will soon be able to walk to the "Polish, Cleaners, and Washing Accessories" section of your favorite Auto Parts store while blind-folded!

Shortykrn,

The only 2 options that are residualized are the Back Up Camera and the Side steps, I find it funny that the Tow Hitch is not residualized.

Kodiak,

I would like to buy it NOW, As I have to sell or trade my Ford Exploer in by 12 July or I have to buy it out, it is on a future value lease. My dealer told me that the cut off date for ordering 2007 Ridgeline was 1st May so I can not even order one. The 2008 start to show up mid/end Sept. It would be very hard for me to wait that long without a truck to work from, and I doubt there will be any good lease rates at that time at the monment it 4.9%. The purchase price is not a factor with my boss, it's the monthy lease payment it has to be $1000.00 per month or less. I would realy like to find a Dark Cherry Pearl, here in Canada the interior is dark grey.

Formal Black (for those "gluttons for punishment") Hey! I resemble that remark!

But it sure is fun polishing it!

Spent about six hours detailing my 2 month old Formal Black RTX last weekend. Black defiantly would have been the wrong choice, but I love it. My next RL will be Nimbus Grey.

Re: Ridgeline on my short list

I've had my 07 Nimbus gray RTL for a month now and I've washed and waxed it more this month then I did my Ford Countour the first year I owned it. I even clean the engine compartment every 2 weeks.

The longer I own this truck the more obssesed I get with it, I looked at the Toyota FJ ( a friend who has one told me he wished he had my truck after he saw it ) and I was also seriously considering the new 4 door Jeep Wrangler.

Needless to say the only "Buyer Remorse" I've had was that I didn't by the Ridgeline sooner.

Re: Ridgeline on my short list

As the proud owner of an auto detailing business (been at it for 20 years now) and a Steel Blue Ridge I would say that the Billet Silver would be the lowest maintenance color. I have become very found of the Steel Blue it is great when polished like a diamond. I find that it shows pollen like crazy but I use a California Duster on it each morning. It only takes me about 5 minutes and it really makes it easy to keep my truck looking sharp.

Re: Ridgeline on my short list

I have a silver billet and for the most part it looks good most of the time. However here in GA. the red clay shows up pretty well and the black spots from road are a real pain.
