Got my new 2007 LX (canadian)

Hi,

I'm too excited, so I need to make my first post to this forum who helped me to get the best deal on my new 2007 ridgeline. In canada we do not have the same MSRP, 10K$ more then USA. But now the new black ridgeline is here ;-).

FYI When I get back from the dealer I discover a receipt sheet from Honda Canada with a complete verification check list. The Truck seems to be deliver to the dealer on 2007-06. I try to find the exact build date on this document, but no success.

Now I will continue to spend some gas to complete my first 200 KM before going to bed. Tomorrow I will start looking for a hitch and the leer. any suggestions.

The dream is starting...

Marshone.

Re: Got my new 2007 LX (canadian)

Welcome aboard!!! You will LOVE your new Ridgeline of all the mid size trucks I have tested (Toyota, Ford, Nissan) this one seized me. Even my better half tested these other trucks and preferred the Ridgeline, and in fact would rather drive the truck than her car (2007 Civic).

f you are a Toronto Area resident, you will find the best knowledge about hitches at 'Hitch and Trailer' In Scarborough. However, it has been my experience that the Wiring harness should be (read 'must be) acquired and installed at your Honda Dealer. No one seems to be able to get it right outside of a dealer, since ALL the wiring other than the additional harness is already on the truck.

If you are going to tow loads approaching the load of the truck, I recommend you intall a CLASS III hitch set, so you can take advantage of Load Leveling systems for you trailer should you need it. The load leveling systems takes a lot of the back end loading out of the whole tow arrangement, and more readily accepts an anti sway system. I tow a 3800 lb camp trailer with load levelers and anti sway; and let me tell you, it makes a significant difference.

I got my LEER cap at King City Ttrailer - $2000 plus taxes, installed. Takes about three weeks to order, then you schedule an install date and time. Have your colour code reacy, as they colour match (damn near exactly) to you truck colour.

Have fun with your truck!!!

Re: Got my new 2007 LX (canadian)

Thanks Bbreed, for the hitch suggestion. I'm in process to buy winter tires / mags / tpms, so the hitch/leer cap will wait a week or two ;-). next week I have a maintenance schedule with my dealer in Montreal for esthetic fixed and I will get mor information on the hitch they provide, but last time the dealer said that it will not recommend to install honda hitch they prefer to refer @ local hitch dealer for half price. 4 sure I want the best for my new toy. ;-)

Thanks
