Arrow 2007 Dark Cherry Pearl vs 2006 Redrock Pearl Pictures

Sunday after 6 p.m., June 25, 2006, I drove by Jack O'Diamonds Honda in Tyler TX and noticed they have a 2007 Dark Cherry Pearl on their lot, and took out my trusty Motorola RAZR V3c cell phone camera and took some pictures.

Their was an empty space to the right, so I backed my 2006 RedrockRT in the space and took some pictures of both so you can see the difference in color.

I am still kicking it around, but for now, I like the color of my RedrockRT.

Saw one of them on the back of a truck leaving the plant. Looks hot.

Nice job on the comparison. From the web site I was having a hard time seeing the true color. Thanks for the pics! I think my vote would go for the original 2006 red.

Good job on the comparison shot. I think it proves that the RL looks good any color it gets painted.

Tim, that looks almost like a maroon color. Much darker than I expected and yours looks better - IMHO.

Looks nice, but I'm glad I got the Redrock.

Lightbulb Re: 2007 Dark Cherry Pearl vs 2006 Redrock Pearl Pictures

I will say this, the 2007 Dark Cherry Pearl has a L0T of chrome potential.

The sharpest car that my parents ever owned is a 1989 Olds 98 Regency Brougham in Dark Red Pearl, I think is the color, and from memory, when the car was new, it is the same color as the Dark Cherry Pearl in the 2007 Ridgeline. What set the car off, is that it has a wide chrome strip at the bottom of the doors from one end to the other, chrome around the front and back windshields and around the windows. It has chrome door handles, an additional strip of chrome down the length of the car near the bottom of the windows, as well as chrome strips across the back of the car all around the trunk and around the taillights.

The silver looks great all silver, along with the other Ridgeline colors, but for some reason, RED's, especially Dark Reds, just jump out at you and need something to break up the visual assault of one color. Other than it was the cheapest truck I could find to fit what I was determined to have as a minimum, I like my RT because of the BLACK MIRRORS and DOOR HANDLES that help knock out the oneness of color.

So I say, HEY HONDA, DON'T YOU HAVE SOME CHROME AROUND THE PLANT SOMEWHERE????

Re: 2007 Dark Cherry Pearl vs 2006 Redrock Pearl Pictures

Maybe I am in the minority here, but I think the Dark Cherry Pearl is nicer looking than the original red. The original red was too much like the Dodge red.

With that being said....why the heck can't Honda come out with a nice candy apple red color?!? Every time I see that color, doesn't matter what vehicle it is on, it turns my head. I just saw an older Cutlass the other day and it was painted candy apple read. It was a crappy car, but it sure looked classy!

I think Honda is in the 3 bears syndrome. One is too bright, the other too dark, and MAYBE they will get it right the 3rd time and come out with a Candy Apple Red. That would be AWESOME!!!!!!!

Re: 2007 Dark Cherry Pearl vs 2006 Redrock Pearl Pictures

I was wondering the same thing about maybe getting the dark cherry instead of the Redrock. The dark cherry is much darker than I thought as well and I really don't care for it now that I have seen it. I'm glad I got the Redrock Pearl. I would not have chosen the dark cherry for the color of my truck if it was the only flavor of red available. I dislike it that much.

Someone mentioned candy apple red. That would be a nice color addition but isn't that a Dodge color option right now?

BTW. With the color settings on my laptop, it almost looks purple in the first picture and brown in the last. Is that how everyone else is seeing it? Is that how it appeaed when you took the pictures?

PS. Whomever mentioned the chrome thing was right. The grille isn't exactly chrome but this is the dark cherry is the first color choice that I have seen that I thought the silver grille actually looked right on except the silver metallic.
