Approximately 850 miles from Upper Margaritaville. I'm still undecided as I will be officially a "retired person" 8 days after the meet, and Ms Djeaux may be thinking more of basking in the Caribbean than driving to Ohio

I haven't decided if I can or will go - although touring the Honda facilities would be pretty cool....
BUT - food for thought: Marysville is only about 100 miles from Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, OH. I don't know about anyone else, but I am a huge roller coaster fan and CP has some of the best in the world.... It would be pretty cool if one of the days before or after the meet interested ROC-er's could go there and enjoy some thrills. Maybe even work out a group rate or something. Just an idea.... HT

Oh no. You had to mention that. Isn't Cedar Point the place with that psycho vertical coaster that goes up 30 stories, stops, and goes back down backwards?

well its not exactly like that but its close. It is called top thrill dragster. It starts from a dead stop and accelerates to 125 mph in about four seconds. Turning towards the sky you go up a tower that peaks at 420 feet. Coasting over the top you get a great view of the grounds and the lake. That's just before the track turns back downwards at which point you plummet 400 feet at an angle of 90 degrees. Then you calmly return to the station and exit the ride. It is one of the most exhilerating rides you will ever dare to challenge and well worth it.
