My only real complaint about the current ridge is that the CD player doesn't play MP3 CD's. I mean, I have a $150 head unit from 6 years ago that does that. Maybe they can upgrade something like that for the 09 model lol

I saw that that $4500 ends 6/30/08. I am thinking that the 2009 will be hitting the showroom floors about than.

I am putting off buying a ridgeline until I see what is new on the 2009. I had a MP3 player in my other car and I miss not having one now. I hope that they put one in on the 2009. The dealership in Madison, wi would not deal at all with any options. The lady I talked to " their Rideline expert" told me that a MP3 player was not a option until I had to point it out to her Ridgeline book. I am not paying for a $650 CD MP3 player that is seperate from the 6 cd player when you can buy a CD MP3 plus audio in for just over $100 at bestbuy.

I may go back and see if they will be more willing to deal since their inventory of ridgelines has doubled since than.

Wouldn't that be 06-(one) 07-(two) 08-(three) 09 (04) and 10 (five) so that 2011 would be the sixth year? by my count that means that a new model should be out and selling some time in mid to late 2010. Or does a five year cycle mean something else?

The 2006's were released in March of 2005.

We just did the order for May which would mean the cars would arrive in June, the only 09 model available was the pilot. The 09 Rl probably won't come out until August.

When do you expect an '09 Pilot demo to be in your showroom?

As mentioned, Honda is on a 5 year cycle. The Ridge was released early in '05, but was still the '06 model. So the major model change will be the '11 model. The third year ('09) typically is a minor model change. But that can mean a lot of things. It often includes taillights, bumpers, interior stuff. Possible a few options and colors. But rarely any technical improvements. I expect the '09 in the fall. I don't think Honda is producing them until the changeover is made in Alabama. Honda Canada will no longer be building them. So it doesn't make sense to set up Alabama for only a month or two then change the tooling.

I don't see the '09 RL's coming out in the fall. As talked about previously, Ridgeline production at the Alliston plant will stop in November. Then there will be a 3 month hiatus while the tooling is moved/setup in Lincoln, Alabama where production should resume in February, 2009.

Either the '09's will be coming out late June/early July or we will be waiting until March, 2009. I'm hoping for sooner rather than later since I'm putting off my purchase until I can see what the '09's bring.

09 Pilot release date is June 2nd

2009 Pilot on the show room floor right now. Gray with Tan interior. Very nice looking.

Now we need the 2009 Ridgeline.
