Looking at the videos on their website, it looks like some have a spring that provides the protection, and others appear to have rubber donuts that compress. Are the rubber "donuts" just covering the spring or are there two types of product they sell?

I'm considering getting one mostly to protect the rear end from people who park poorly. I might add some sharp metal spikes coming off of it too<g>.

All in all are you happy with the purchase and would you offer any advice re: color, size, etc?
Sorry for the confusion... when I said "unpainted" I mean't the cost of stock RL bumper cover replacement. So, until you get a new cover (from damage) it kinda makes the 179.00 look a little "pale" .

The Super Bumper comes in black ( painted) or chrome. I got the black one.
The depiction on their site with springs vs. rubber donuts is, the springs are "older models". They all are supposed to use rubber now. Mine has rubber.
They also include rubber inside the square portion of the "hitch tube" that the hitch pin rests on , giving additional absorbtion.

Yes, I would get another one but no one has hit it yet ?
