Re: Swapping out Steel Wheels on RT need some advise

I swapped from Steel to Acura RL Alloy rims (which are close to the RL Alloys). You can use the original sensors, but need different stems (I was lucky that the Acura wheels had stems already on them). The sensors have a little screw that will take them off and you can put them on the new stems (took a little finesse, but worked fine). The lug nuts are different (keep the old ones for your spare), and you will need new ones (can get them off e-bay). Just a note, wheel locks are different as well (my dealer had put the wrong ones on to start, so I could use them on the Alloy wheels). My buddy did the swap at his shop, so I was there helping and saw the whole process, so what I am telling you is the truth.
