MikeT--the WDH does indeed affect the handling. Since I had one (which also has an anti sway bar hookup) I decided to check it out at different tensions while towing our 17' Hi-Lo. Best results for me were virtually no tension on the links, as "snugging it up" really made hitting dips kind of spooky feeling.
Honda did their homework.
