I pull my 17ft CC 90hp with a single axle with no problems. My boat is all glass and weighs in closer to 3K. Much easier than pulling it with my Jeep Cherokee. More stability on the road too, although I always thought the Jeep was too short a wheelbase to pull the boat. One difference, the Jeep had better low-end torque and had an easier time pulling it out of the water and up a steep ramp. No problem with the RL, but just feel like it's struggling more.
