Re: K&N Air Intake Installation

I agree with almost everything you relayed about the install....I pulled it off solo, and it definitely was not as easy as relayed over some postings. The sound does come off well when one drops the hammer per se. However, I noticed in warmer weather I'm getting a high pitched sound or wheezing only when I'm in drive, not neutral and revving. I'm thinking that I have a slight leak somewhere with a hose clamp, but haven't pinpointed it.
I totally agree with how close the filter is toward the front of the headlight assy., etc. Tight fit! I've had it on now for about 1000mi with no performance issues other than that slight sound I'm receiving. I recommend it for a cheap HP increase and throaty growl though. Not quite sold on the mpg savings, but we'll see.
