The brakes don't make noise when driven. However they do when the brakes are applied. Sounds a bit gravely or a grinding sound. It's not loud, but noticeable. The pads and rotors are brand new and this is expected for the first 500 miles or so. The pads have an orange colored texture that looks like 100 grit sand paper. It's so that the old brake rotors can be used without the need for maching/turning them, and to aid in a quick bed-in period, as I understand.

I don't expect the sound to completely go away, but it should be barely noticeable with the windows closed.

My other truck had the same EBC dimpled/slotted rotors but different pads and were pretty quiet.
