I removed the lower panel to first check for drill clearance but found it to be unobstructed. I remounted the panel, transfered the two hole locations and drilled clearance diameters for stainless 10-32 machine screws with "nylok nuts"
I rather it be very secure than accidentally fall down between the brake pedal and the floor if ya get my meaning.
