I had a Pioneer DEHP3100UB SCD Receiver with USB control and LCD installed last December because my bad back won't allow me to get into awkward positions any more. It's a single DIN, since I have a separate Garmin GPS that I use.
I really like the radio, and even with the OEM speakers it sounds MUCH better than the stock radio. It's inexpensive, and I'm basically cheap! :act024:
The only problem I've had is with the faceplate coming loose for no apparent reason. I don't even use the faceplate, but when it loses contact the unit keeps operating but none of the controls work. Turning off the ignition shuts it down completely, and I have to remove and replace the faceplate, which is a real PITA, especially when we're on the road. :act047:
I took it back to the installing shop (they guarantee everything they do for 1 year), and they removed it and sent it to Pioneer for repair. If the repair doesn't work, I'll have them refund my money and reinstall the factory unit until I find another radio to install.
This one's really convenient with the USB and AUX inputs on the front of the radio, making it unnecessary to burn any more CDs. I've never even used the CD except to see if it worked.
It has a separate remote control that I use all the time; I never even have to touch the radio to change modes or stations.
I might add the XM ability. We just returned from a trip out west where there were no radio stations. We didn't know Chicago's Mayor Daley wasn't going to run again until 5 days after his announcement!
