Lowered, Meaner, a little cleaner...

I took more photos a few days ago (the Ridgeline is clean this time) and put the silver colored directional bulbs in (they light orange) and mounted the Ridgeline Owners Club decal in the middle rear window yesterday... As soon as I get off my tail and finish my taxes, I will reward myself by installing the new grilles. By then, hopefully, the MagnaFlow exhaust will be available...

Thanks to whoever posted the instructions for replacing the directional bulbs elsewhere on the board -- it certainly was not intuitive! For those of you who have looked at those panel clips and tried to simply pop them out with a screwdriver (as I tried on my first one - Duh) the trick is thus: use a pair of needle-nose pliers and grab the center stud using the notches (cut-outs) on opposite sides of the surrounding collar and simply pull out the center stud - it will come out about 3/4 of an inch and then the whole retaining clip will follow. It takes about 2 seconds and does not injure the clip.

By the way, is the Ridgeline supposed to have roof trim as a matter of course? I was looking over the instructions for installing the roof rack which included the specific manner in which to remove the factory roof trim, and I note that my Ridgeline has no roof trim - simply two deep grooves on either side of the roof. Is the trim that goes within those grooves an option that I failed to purchase?

For those who have asked, as tight as it may seem, there is clearance for the 22s even with the truck lowered. The outside diameter and circumference of the tires are almost exactly stock, and turning the wheels rack to rack and compressing the springs still reveals clearance. I suppose that if you took a heck of a sinkhole with the wheel all the way to one side at decent speed you might polish the plastic fender shroud, but not much more....

Thanks!
