Re: GE Nighthawk replacement bulbs, and fog light question
What bulbs from the UK did you get. Have you installed them? How well do they work?

Re: GE Nighthawk replacement bulbs, and fog light question
Philips Vision Plus Extreme Power H4
http://www.powerbulbs.com/product_detail.asp?prod=43 I really like them. I've had them for about two years now. If you advanced search through the bulbs threads for shovelhd you will find a picture of the OEM bulb in one side and one of these in the other. What I don't know is how close these bulbs are to their American "equivalents". Corporate consolidation may have created equivalent products with different manufacturers and product names in different countries. I've always used European lighting in my sports cars.

In my Ridgeline, the OEM bulbs were in for about four months. I switched to the GE Nighthawks and the first low beam burned out in 8 months or so. I have had the second set in now for just over a year and counting. Keep in mind that I leave my lights on all of the time.

Re: GE Nighthawk replacement bulbs, and fog light question
Thanks for the info. I just put Nighthawks in my RL, but I might try these if they burn out.

Re: GE Nighthawk replacement bulbs, and fog light question
I also have the GE Nighthawks and one just went out and I've probably had them in for about a year. I was hoping they would last longer. I leave my lights on all the time. So right now, I'm running one Nighthawk and one OEM since I haven't been able to find the Nighthawk locally. ; )
I've had PIAAs on other vehicles and only got about a year out of them too. |
