Question GE Nighthawk replacement bulbs, and fog light question

Consumer Reports did a test with aftermarket headlight bulbs and the test showed the Nighthawks improved visibility on the Ridgeline up to 500ft, has anyone changed their's out for these? Notice any difference?

I have the Honda installed fog lights, and I've noticed that on wet pavement at night which is where I really like having them, they don't seem to make that much of an improvement as the factory installed ones on the Dodge Dakota's I previously had. Only thing I really notice is they light up to the outside (periphrial) more. I've never really looked, but I don't think there is any adjustment to them. Are the headlights just that good that the fog lights aren't as needed as you think?

Re: GE Nighthawk replacement bulbs, and fog light question

I changed my headlights and installed Silverstar and also changed my fog lights to PIAA xtrem white plus and I'm very satisfied with it.

I tried also the nighthawk on my old CR-V and was not too impressed. I have to admit that the headlight covers are not in perfect condition. There's like a yellow film in the plastic which is not anymore transparent.

That is what fog lights are supposed to do, shine a low and wide beam of light under the fog base.

I HAVE HAD MY GE NIGHTHAWKS FOR OVER 1 YEAR AND BELIEVE ME, THEY ARE EXCELLENT.

YOU CAN TELL THE DIFFERENCE DAY OR NIGHT, BUT ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT. GOING THROUGH OUR SUBDIVISION AT NIGHT, IT WILL LIGHT UP STOP SIGNS OVER TWO BLOCKS AWAY.

GET ON A DARK NIGHT ON A BACK ROAD AND NOTICE HOW WELL IT LIGHTS UP THE ROAD IN FRONT OF YOU. YOU WILL NOTICE IT IS MUCH FURTHER THAN YOU ARE USE TO SEEING.

EXCELLENT INVESTMENT FOR LESS THAN $30.00. GOT MINE AT THE WALMART.

GOOD LUCK!

For $30 they can not be beat!

I also have had mine in for over a year. No problems at all.

The OEM floodlights do exactly what I want. They do a great job at lighting up the sides of the street. GREAT for seeing deer BEFORE they hit you!

I would buy them!

My 3 closest WalMarts don't have them in 9003 mount. Searched online: no results. Where do you get them from?

There is an adjustment knob on the back of the fog lamps.

Re: GE Nighthawk replacement bulbs, and fog light question

Anyone out there know why the OEM lights are rated at 55 watts low beam and 60 watts high beam for the Ridgeline?

Are the GE Nighthawks street legal with their rated wattage of 60 low beam and 67 high beam?
