The installation instructions were very clear and it took only about an hour to install. The cover is waterproof and rolls up to the back of the cab for full access to the box and so far has been waterproof. It is fastened on the sides with velcro and is adjustable for changing climates. It also is locked when the tailgate is closed. See attached pictures.

Some folks claim a 1 to 1 1/2 mpg improvement. Obviously it depends on the type of driving you do. Most of my driving is at low speed on city type streets. So aerodynamics doesn't come in play for me.

That being said, I can get 21 mpg's on the rare occasions when I do hit the highway no problem.

I believe the Retrax improved fuel economy on the highway about one MPG. More aerodynamic because the air is not 'scooped' by the tailgate. Since I travel with the Ridge, I appreciate the security aspect. We put two sets of golf clubs in the trunk and luggage etc. in the bed of the truck. It looks sharp as well. Owned since 7.05, I have 38K on the odometer. Trips beween San Diego, Tucson, LA, Sacrmento, Las Vegas and such. It's a great travel vehicle.

Randy...can you tell my how many inches exactly the retrax is taking taking up from the front of the bed to the back of the retrax with the tonneau in the 100% open position.

I ordered Monday, $949, then with $100 ROC discount, it came to $849, I opted for the tailgate gasket and lock as well. I believe off the top of my head, that was $25, and $104 extra each. Call them they are very helpful. Mine should be here Monday. It will also cost for shipping depending on where you live.

Appreciate the info. May finally take the plunge, you can see from this thread that I also came close a year, but this year should be a better bonus so I may go for it.
