Discount OEM Honda Parts

In my quest to find a hitch and wiring harness, I came across the Majestic Honda in Rhode Island website: http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...catdisplay.jsp

They are offering 30% off on the list prices. It is the best deal I have seen so far on the Internet, plus their shipping charges are on the low side. I am curious if anyone on this forum has experience with this outfit or whether anyone has found a parts place with cheaper prices, including shipping , for OEM?

Re: Discount OEM Honda Parts

I bought a bed extender from a former member of the ROC, but he did not have any of the hardware.
I had found the same site as you did and ordered the extender hardware from them. The site was easy to navigate and after I placed my order the next day I got an e-mail from them informing me that they did not have one of the parts. They also waited to fill my order until I had gotten back to them with the decision to ship what they had and back order the other part. When I told them to ship what they had and refund the amount of the back ordered part, I had no problem with them. My card account was credited the next day and got my parts within 6 days.

So I would say that the service I got from them was great and no problem at all .

Sure do. In 1972 I bought my first motorcycle from them, a 1972 CL350 Honda. Long before they became a Honda auto dealership.

I migrated South in '74. Great people 35 years ago!

I used their prices as a reference and my local dealer matched them. Nothing against Majestic, they're a good outfit. Saved me the shipping.

Re: Discount OEM Honda Parts

I've been buying parts and accessories from Majestic Honda in Rhode Island for about 10 years now (going back to my 1995 Accord). Their prices are cheap, shipping is cheap and it shows up quick and in A1 condition.

Re: Discount OEM Honda Parts

Well I guess these guys turned out to be worthless after all. I wonder how they claim to be the #1 internet site for Honda Parts? I ordered the hitch and wiring harness and was wondering how they could ship them both for $16.29. Well, I got my answer 20 minutes after I placed my order, when I received the following message from them:

Thank you for the order. Unfortunately, the following parts are considered oversized. They are too large for us to ship out. We will have to cancel this order, and refund the full amount. You would be able to obtain it from your local dealership.

08L92-SJC-100 HITCH, TRAILER 1 $227.50

Sorry for any inconveniences this might've of caused you.

Thank you,

H&A tells you this right up front. Did you think that Majestic was going to give away the oversize shipping costs? Or did you go there first?

If you've ever picked up a hitch assembly you'd know there is know way shipping would be $16+. Averaging shipping costs vs. local taxes was a no brainer for me. I ordered from Majestic and would do so again. I can't figure why they wouldn't ship the hitch to you unless you refused to pay the extra freight. One phone call would resolve the issue. (I forked over the additional $45 and no problems whatsoever.)

Thumbs up Re: Discount OEM Honda Parts, Majestic Honda

I ordered camera, rear mud guards and oil filters from them 2 weeks ago. They don't specify inventory on website so I called them. I am very happy with sale/transaction and really liked how they emailed me when order info was updated in their computer. This made tracking and order fulfillment easy. I am in New Jersey, they are in Rhode Island. I got the delivery the day after they handed to shipper (fed ex in my case). I did NOT pay any extra for quick ship.

Summary: Good folks, great experience and aggressive pricing; will certainly consider them for next purchases .

Tom

Yes, I realize the weight of a hitch, but I also know there are people on Ebay who ship a hitch and harness for $27. They did not give me the option to ship for an additional charge. To me, this is unacceptable as this is their job to know what it costs them to ship an item or to post that an item cannot be shipped. Even in this case, there are many others that ship hitches, so it is plain foolish on their part to say it could not be shipped. This is the confirmation of my order that they sent me:

Order Details
Product Number Description Quantity Unit Price Total Price
08L92-SJC-100 HITCH, TRAILER 1 $227.50 $227.50
08L91-SJC-100B WIRE HARNESS, TRAILER HITCH 1 $118.30 $118.30
Subtotal $345.80
Sales Tax $0.00
Shipping Charge $16.29
Handling Charge $4.95
TOTAL $367.04
Shipping Method: FedEx Residential Service
