I very much doubt he is using a real train horn. A real train horn w/o compressor or tank in rough condition is about 2500-3000.
These 3 horn kits are for real. There are several manuf out there and I'm trying to find the best.

And no I'm not poking fun. I will not be mounting these in the bed nor the tank in the trunk. I want a set up I can mount under the hood. A 1gallon tank with compressor will fit and I would problem mount the horns in front of the radiator.

Re: Train Horns

If I were going to do this I'd get a set of the Nathan K3LA rebuilt horns. They sound nasty.

Re: Train Horns

If you want real locomotive air horns you need to buy a set of Nathan Airchimes. It takes six horns to sound like a locomotive. You'll need a minimum of about an 80 gallon compressed air storage tank with a couple of 1" lines to the manifold. The compressor is not as important unless you intend to maintain a sustained blast (the 80 gallons will last maybe 10 seconds).

There won't be much room left in the Ridgeline but you'll make your presence known with a set of Nathan K5's.

You can hear them here:
