PIAA Foglights, Blackened Grill, Chrome Trim

Recent photos of the front of my Ridgeline. I am very happy with how it has turned out.

I like your mods alot. Very clean and accentuates the RL OEM look

Can you provide details about hooking up the PIAAs; installing the fogs and the wiring and switch?

Check out this thread of my install.

DIY Aftermarket Fog Light Install through the Fire Wall

I mounted the fog light switch to the black blank near the VSA and cruise control button. I used a Dremel to lightly make a hole big enough for the wire to go behind the black blank under the switch. You can not see it unless your head is down on the floor looking at the underside of th switch.

Re: PIAA Foglights, Blackened Grill, Chrome Trim

Thanks, I missed the original post. Any information on how you attached the lights to the RL?

I used the 3M type adhesive that came with the lights. They are attached to the steel bumper behind the plastic bumper cover. I have not had any adhesion problems.

Re: PIAA Foglights, Blackened Grill, Chrome Trim

No problems at all. The lights I have are mounted to a bracket with a flat bottom. The steel part of the bumper under the plastic cover is also flat. There are two allen screws that attach the bracket to the light so I was able to properly aim the foglights since the steel bumper slopes slightly.

Remember how smoothly the Ridgeline rides............no vibrations.

Another member took off the front bumper/fascia and drilled holes into the bumper to mount the same lights with bolts and nuts. In an effort to reduce the amount of work, I decided to try the manufacturer supplied adhesive first. If it failed, or became loose, I would then bolt the lights on. I have had the lights installed for almost 1.5 years and no problems.

I didn't fear losing a light since the area behind where I mounted the fog lights is somewhat closed off. The light would have been trapped inside and would not be bouncing down the road.

Really like your mods. Very tasteful. In fact you have motovated me to paint my grill black now

One suggestion...... How about you put the silver front turn signal lights in. I think that would finish it off nicely.
Not trying to offend you just my 2 cents...

Re: PIAA Foglights, Blackened Grill, Chrome Trim

No offense taken. It probably would finish off the look, but that is not my style.

I really like the fact that the Ridgeline has amber turn signals in the front and the back for what I think is added safety. I wouldn't want to change that.

Besides, I am a Project Manager for Street and Highway Construction and the amber turn signals (as well as a strobe light on top) are more consistent with the color of flashing lights expected on a job site.

The chrome signal bulbs flash amber, just are look chrome when not flashing.
