Re: Bug shield...what bug shield...
Southern Idaho? Looks like you're standing in front of Mesa Falls, if that's you in your avatar.
Welcome to the ROC. Before your buy another, did you contact the place you bought yours to see if it's covered for damages? Maybe they will replace it. Ours is the Honda OEM and we like it. It has just enough clearance from the hood that I don't have any trouble reaching in a retrieving the few leaves that end up under it each fall.

Re: Bug shield...what bug shield...
That is a beautiful spot. I know you're going to learn a lot on the ROC. One of the best things is the bunch of knowledgeable and friendly people you get to interact with.
Let us know how this turns out for you. We're interested if you get a replacement or you get a different deflector brand. If you change brands you can tell us what you like/dislike about each.

Re: Bug shield...what bug shield...
What kind is the broken one and where did you purchase from? Thanks.

Re: Bug shield...what bug shield...
I purchased it from Rich Roush Honda (online) and it is OEM. I have called and left a message and have not heard back yet. So, I am going to call again tomorrow to see if there is any kind of warranty for it. I hope so. I will keep you all posted. Thanks!

Well the saga continues...I talked to the company I purchased it from and they told me I could come in and they could look at it and see if it was defective. Well that is kinda hard, considering they are in Ohio and I am in Idaho. So they suggested that I go to our local Honda dealer and see what they say. Well, I did that, and they said that I probably got a rock and the deflector is meant for bugs not rocks. So they will not cover it. So now I guess I am back to researching the sites that you all told me about. So frustrating since I shelled out over $150 for this product in July and it is now December and I have to get another one.....urgh....
