WOW! Back when I saw your previous post, I thought they were ALOT more expensive than just 8-9 bucks!
Sheesh! I don't know where I got that idea.

When I got the Icons, I'd become so P.O.'d at my 2nd set of inserts in my OEM's, that when I saw the Advance Auto while I was parked at a stoplight in a downpour, I pulled into their lot immediately, and asked for their best wipers. The woman who helped me find the RL's size said she'd been using them since they came out, on both her vehicles, without complaints.

I was SOLD! She even came out to my truck (when I told her she didn't have to) and helped to put them on. It took about 30 seconds for each side.

When my Icons give-out, I'll definately think about giving the Valeo ULTIMATE's a try.

Re: Frameless Winshield Wipers

x,

I checked-out the Tire Rack link you provided, and the pics of the Valeo's look ALOT like the Icons...
Being the Valeo's are supplied as OEM, could they also be supplying Bosch, who retags them as Icons?

I wish I'd kept the packaging for the Icons...

Just wondering...

The deal comes-up in the shopping cart as $0.00 for the second side(size), too. Thought I'd check to see if I'd have to buy two of the same size, or not.

Real tempting deal... might have to "stock up".

thanks,
Pug

P.S. Looks good PizzaGuy!

The Honda OEM inserts fit into the Bosch Icon Frames. I have a set in mine right now. They work great.

I've been checking them out myself. You can't beat a "twofor" sale.

Now, this brings up another question concerning the TireRack recommended tire pressure gauges. I like the look of the one featured here. Do you think the accuracy is acceptable? It measures in .5 lb increments, but never mentions guaranteed accuracy.

Thanks for the tip, X man!

Re: Frameless Winshield Wipers

hmmm... usually digital gauges mention a +/- "x" accuracy... dunno.

The lady at Advance told me I'd have to replace the entire frame/wiper assembly, when I asked her specifically that question.

The OEM inserts looked too narrow to fit (IIRC)...

Re: Frameless Winshield Wipers

I purchased the neo form blades from trico for my RL a couple of months ago after installing a set on our shuttle van from work, they are a frameless design and seem to work great in all weather, they are expensive though, I also purchased the same for my wifes accord and she loves them.

I bought a set of the Bosch Icons and love them. So far, no ice accumulation...

I purchase the Icons a few months ago and I love them. They always keep contact with the glass.

I have had the Michelin Optimum blades on my RL for about 3 months now. I have nothing bad to say....they look great and work great. Not too much ice in the St.L area this year so I cannot comment on build up, but with the smaller profile over the OEM, I would imagine they would perform better
when it comes to ice buildup?

Re: Frameless Winshield Wipers

Have had 2 pair of the PIAA. The second set were not as good at the first set. Got the Icons and have been happy ever since. My wife has the framless Silblades. Those appear to be as good as the Icons but I don't drive her truck as much.
