Re: Frameless Winshield Wipers

Thanks for all the input, guys. I'm going to give the frameless a try. I just now need to decide which brand.

I assume the RL arm assembly is compatible with any of the frameless wipers???

I was just at pepboys to pick up some free, after rebate, techron... Anyway they have the rain-x latitudes on sale like the Valeo, twofor,.... I checked them out along with the Icons to see if they were worth it. In all honesty, the quality of the construction was not the same.... Not only was the structural stability was based on plastic, vs the valeo's metal frame and they of course are missing the propriety patented coated blade... I passed them up and decided paying the extra money for shipping made up for having a superior product....

Of course you have to make the choice... If you plan on going frameless, do it right... Maybe I am a bit biased, but if you don't like them, I will be happy to take them off your hands...

I am a little confused as to which blades you are saying are bad and which were good. Which ones did you actually buy?

I would never doubt you, Xman. You haven't steered me wrong yet.

After looking at the Valeo and comparing them to the OEM's supplied on the wife's new car, I'm thinking they may be the same.

My order for the Valeo's will be sent this evening. Will the RL wiper arms accomodate the Valeo Blade?

Too bad the rebate has expired.

Yes... It is what I use... The link I provided are the ones you want... They are the "Hook-Lock" version... When you put in the vehicle info it will take you to the correct blades for the RL...

Luckily Artee, the Valeo's are still on a "twofor" sale at TireRack
