Hard Tonneau and motorcycle question

Does a motorcycle fit in the back of the RL with a tonneau installed...like the retrax? how much spaces does the retrax take up?

Re: Hard Tonneau and motorcycle question

Possibly not. The Retrax will take up about 12" of bed depth. You would need to measure the bed, less one foot for the Retrax cylinder, plus the length of the tailgate laid down to figure if you can haul a motorcycle.

Re: Hard Tonneau and motorcycle question

That's pretty much what I thought...I can fit my bike in the truck now, and can probably spare about 6 inches at most.

If you want a hard cover that will still let you fit your bike in, look at a BakFlip. It folds all the way up and has 2 struts to hold it up and allow you to use all but about 4-5" of the bed. Give me a call or pm me if you have any questions and just to let you know I do have this one at 13% off right now!

Re: Hard Tonneau and motorcycle question

Thanks for the offer. I still think I would prefer the retrax if I can fit the bike in with it...only because I am one of the few people left that still use mirrors when driving.

If you look at the pics here with my bike you can see I probaby have 8 inches...maybe 10 that I could spare on the tailgate. If I can use a cover that doesn't fold up and block the whole rear window I would do that first.

Your cover has crossed my mind a few times though. If I am certain the retrax won't work I may resort to the bakflip.
