blackberry cell phone holder

Hi!
Other than the Honda magnetic cell phone holder, does anyone have suggestions for cell phone holders? In particular I would like something like my brother has. He has a holder that holds a cell phone holder that cradles his phone and positions it so that he can see the screen and push the buttons while using his ear piece.
I have a crackberry "curve".
Also, any good suggestions on a blue tooth ear piece?
Thanks,
Dave

Re: blackberry cell phone holder

I've got a bluetooth headset that I like very much. It's a Plantronics Discovery 655. This is the third BT headset I've tried out and the one that suits me the best.

http://www.plantronics.com/north_ame...35/prod5760004

It's small and lightweight. It has a soft, gel earpiece that fits snuggly and securely in my ear (different sizes come with the headset) so that it does not need the over-the-ear wire. It also has a handy holder with a strong clip that gives me a place to stow it so I don't have to walk around with it in my ear all day. I can clip that on my collar or in a pocket and have the headset handy.

It rings, flashes and vibrates with incoming calls. It's got good clarity on both ends of the conversation with noise canceling that actually works.

I had a positive interaction with Plantronics before buying this headset. My niece let me borrow hers, telling me this was her favorite headset. She works for T Mobile, so she knows all the latest gadgets. While I was using hers, it stopped working. I did not want to return something broken, so I called the company. Even though it was out of warranty, they allowed me to buy just the headset at a reduced price compared to replacing the entire unit. They sent that to me immediately, I got it two days after the phone call with a bill that followed a few days after that.

I've seen them at Best Buy and Office Max. I would recommend against buying it from AT&T's website due to my bad experience when I bought through them trying to save about $10. I've written all about that in another thread so I won't go through that mess again. You can go here if you want to read what happened:

I would also recommend the Jawbone BT headset. I would have kept that one had it not been for the wire over the ear. I keep my hair pulled back and braided. I disliked how the wire got tangled in my hair and how tricky it was for me to quickly grab the headset and get it resting correctly for use when someone called. Other than that, I liked that headset too.

Both of these are a bit more expensive than average, but I think the quality is worth it.

Re: blackberry cell phone holder

Good morning,

I've worked in telecom for almost 10 years and have had the best luck with these mounts and clips. ProClip USA now makes dash clips that don't require you to take the dash apart. Then simply find the right Berry Curve holder that screws onto the dashclip!

Have fun,
