Re: Torza Hard Hat Premier or Retrax??

I am considering the Torza versus the Retrax. How is the Torza in wet conditions? Is there any concern with leakage?

Re: Torza Hard Hat Premier or Retrax??

I don't think any cover is going to be 100% water proof. After I initially installed mine, there was very slight leaks around the front corners, so it will probably need some tweeking or a little added silicone sealer here and there. If you can lay in the bed with the cover on during a bright, sunny day you can look around & see if you see any daylight peeking through. That will tell you where you would use some sealer. Even on the worst windy & rainy storms we've had, the most leakage I had could have been sopped up with a single paper towel. It's minimal.

I've watched the HardHat video on the Advantage site ... are those clamps durable enough? They look a little fragile in the video.

They are some sort of hardened plastic /resin, and as long as you have them adjusted properly and aren't trying to over-tighten them, they should do fine. Even if you broke one, replacing would would take all of about 10 seconds. I have had no problems with my clamps.
