Honda original tonneau cover deal!!!

HI everybody!!

I just purchased my Ridgeline this week still waiting for it!!!

I found a used Honda Original tonneau bed cover for 1200$ including bug deflector for the hood.(honda price is 2200$)

My 2 needs are:
1- To be Able to fully open the trunk ( with the cover open)
2- To be able to lock the tailgate.

So at that price is it worth it???
I have read on the forum but so many thread I'm lost!!!

To compare I have ask in my city for jack rabbit and it is 1350$ + tx and installation.

Dan, as far as I know from reading "tonneau cover posts" on this great web site, all of the tonneau covers made for the Ridgeline's unique bed design require the installation of bed rails which will impact the height that the in bed trunk cover can be raised. This includes the OEM Honda hard tonneau cover. You can actually purchase a new OEM cover from Majestic Honda for $921. plus very inexpensive shipping. As for a bug/wind deflector, I would do a little extra research before purchasing as a number of Ridgeline owners on this forum are buying clear deflectors and having them painted the same color as their Ridgeline. You can search for photos of Ridgeline owners who have done this. It certainly looks better than a common dark grey/black deflector, in my opinion.

bakflip tonneau $ 624.00
power tailgate lock $ 120.00

that's what i have.You can drive bakflip folded open againts the cabin and you can still keep your tailgate locked. OEM tonneau you can fold 1/2 open (i think)

I got my OEM tonneau cover off of craigslist foe $350. I installed it myself. Look around on craigslist, I have seen may throughout the US for between 300-600 dollars.
