Recommended Backup Beeping Device

After nearly backing over two ladies in a pariking lot the other day due to the plethora of blind spots on the Ridgeline, my wife inquired about those beeping devices installed on trucks and other large, motorized pieces of equipment. I recall seeing relapcement tailight bulbs with beepers in the past.

Does anayone have a recommendation for an "I-am-going-backwards-now" alert device that is relatively easy to install and is triggered when the truck is put in reverse?

Excellent question, breakfastschef. That's exactly what I'm looking for. The RL doesn't have the best rear views of any vehicle on the market, and twice I've nearly backed up into someone who parked behind me when I wasn't looking. Inexpensive backup sensors is what I need....and something that doesn't take a techo-wizzard to install. Any suggestions welcomed!
Tom

Re: Recommended Backup Beeping Device

This is something I actually done many many years ago. Just go to your local Truck dealer ie: Peterbilt, Kenworth ect. Tell them you need a back up alarm. They are easy to install, just mount it near one of the tail lights out of sight, like under the bumper and use a scotch lock connector and tap right into the reverse light wire. Be Safe Dave

Our Dodge Caravan fleet vehicles have this exact set up. Works great.
