tie downs/Truxedo options

I have a Lopro installed on my 08. As some of you may know you lose the front tie downs in order to install the side rails. Has anyone run across an add-on tie down or done a mod that allows for the originals to be reinstalled with the Truxedo?

Thank you.

Re: tie downs/Truxedo options

Kevin..I saw a post that someone used longer bolts on the front and was able to keep the tie downs. I have the same cover but haven't had time to explore this yet.....Mike

Re: tie downs/Truxedo options

Team,

I also lost the use of the upper tie downs when I installed the Extang Solid Fold.

Here is a link to my post [with pictures and parts list] of my mod to get the upper tie downs back. I was not able to use the original steel/iron hooks, but was able to get some sturdy hooks into place.

Extang Solid Fold Review & Pics

hope this helps,
pdmazz
