Extang Trifecta, poor quality control?

I ordered the trifecta and had it installed yesterday. I could have done it myself from what I could tell but I'm glad I paid $15 to have it installed. Why am I glad? Well they sent 2 rails for the same side and they were both about 1.5 inches to long. So the installer had to cut the ends off, sand and paint the ends. Doesn't look as pretty but I can live with it. Fortunately, he had another set of rails from another guy who brought back his trifecta a couple of days ago. They replaced his too long rails with correct size older ones they had in stock.

Now, it worked out for me at the local shop but can you imagine if you ordered these to your home? If you're like me and not that handy with these things you'd be spending the next hour trying to figure out what you're doing wrong. Then making the call, then sending them back.

Dang. Sorry to hear about that... but glad it got installed. That would have definitely driven me off the edge!

Friend at work has received 3 Extang covers for his F-150. First two were damaged in the exact same location; looks like due to stacking the boxes with insufficient padding inside. Number 3 was held up in Customs (this time shipped direct); haven't heard the results yet. I looked at the Extang Solid-Fold for my RL; glad I didn't go that route
