running board install

the guy at the dealer told me that the running board style step actually replaces the front mud flap. it is unclear and not addressed in the H and A install instructions. has anyone put the running boards on, and if the mud flaps need to come off is it a PITA?

Re: running board install

The dealer is wrong. The running boards fit fine with the front mud flaps in place.

Re: running board install

Yes shovelhd is correct.
I just install my running boards and the frt. mudflaps are not an issue.
