Re: Vent Rain Shades from Burtmanindustries??

Hey Guys. Thanks for all the feedback, I ordered them on Friday and got a quick reply from Jason that they would be shipped on Monday. Also had my front windows tinted today to match the back. Thanks Again.

Re: Vent Rain Shades from Burtmanindustries??

I bought mine locally for about the same price. No problems in the 3 months I've had them. The in-channel are the only way to go. They look so much better. I have to disagree with the comments that there is no additional wind noise. It isn't bad but they do add just a little. This is the 5th vehicle I have had them on.

Click on the link I provided in post #3 in this thread and you will get more pics of what they look like on another BLUE truck and see the install process. Maybe someone else can provide a link to pics of them on a primer truck for you.

There is very slight wind noise from the vents. This is far overshadowed by the added purpose of the vents. We love them. The auto up problem is freakishly intermittent and not a big deal if you just remember the other way of holding the button up to close the window works just fine.

Hiya NJRIDGELINER,

Never having installed tint to a vehicle's windows, (cops around here are very vigilant concerning this), is the tint applied to the interior or the exterior of the window?
The reason I ask is this: would the "tight fit" cause the film to be scraped off of the window after the in channel VentShades are installed? Or is there an area along the edge of the window that is left "filmless"? Just won'drin'...

Re: Vent Rain Shades from Burtmanindustries??

Tint is installed on the inside surface of window. I dont have my ventshades yet but I am sure the outside of window is what rest against the visor so it shouldnt make any contact with film. At least I hope

I have them installed. No, they do not make additional wind noise.

Re: Vent Rain Shades from Burtmanindustries??

Pug, the tint is on the inside so it is not an issue. I installed the ventshades today and everything fits like a glove. A little worried about the cops here in NJ as well. I thought my days of tinting the windows were over since i am 30 years old now. However, i did not like the color difference between the front and the back. Plus it makes the truck so much cooler temp wise and also protects the leather. Only cost me $70 so if the cops harass me i can remove it. My next step is painting the caliper black, trying to offset all the silver with some black
