MikeT 09-26-2006, 08:39 PM Hey,

aaronjr112 09-26-2006, 08:42 PM well i guess the ridgeline falls in the list of real trucks and then some
 :D :D
MegNAntsRidgeline 09-26-2006, 09:21 PM Awesome pics aaron Its great to see our Trucks being put to the test. That looks like a lot of fun. Did you get stuck at all? A video would be AWESOME!

Hmmm...when was the last time we had rain??? or an area that can get that muddy??? I wish we get lots of snow this year, we haven't gotten a real Snow storm in a verrrrryyyyyy loooonnnngggg time, i think the last actual snow storm was back in 1986 that lasted for weeks. :D
Otter68 09-27-2006, 02:23 AM Yeeeeeeeeeah Boi!
How long was the mud-hole? Stock tires? Normal PSi?
Couldn't help noticing the abandoned tire in the middle of the mud river.
If I went up in that stuff, I'd be watching out for some prehistoric beast to pop out of the primordial-looking muck like I've seen on the old theater movie-posters!
After running your RL thru that tar-pit, and bringing some of it home to your driveway, did the photographer pitch in and help with the clean-up? ;)
Looked like fun to watch thru a lens. There's gotta be a couple more pics, right!? :D
aaronjr112 09-27-2006, 05:09 AM the mud hole is about 1 acre and photographer didn't help with clean up
because it was my truck and my wild hair to go muddin.
also before i went through the mud i cautiuosly looked for any bad thing that i could see. and yes there is a few more pics but those i think were the best!!
aaronjr112 09-27-2006, 05:11 AM oh and yes stock tires were used with normal psi.
just as if i drove off the road from the pavement.
RamzeyRTX 09-27-2006, 05:54 AM Nice pics! Nice to see the Ridgeline can perform when needed. You must of had the VTM locked and VSA off?
KG4BCN 09-27-2006, 06:54 AM Hmmmmm GUMBO ------ Great pics. I can't wait until hunting season.
5S Dude 09-27-2006, 12:24 PM Dawg gone! That looks like fun! Thanks for the great photos.
Are the vents in the Ridgeline differentials the one-way type?!? We found out the hard way that our Nissan 4x4 diffs. were not and had to pull the axles and clean out all the gooey mess. Have fun!
MusicCityRidgeline 09-27-2006, 03:26 PM Oh you'll still get mud in there...trust me.
5S Dude 09-27-2006, 06:01 PM Oh you'll still get mud in there...trust me.
Hi MusicCity,
Then I think we’re gonna stay outa the mud pits with our new Ridgeline. Every time we went severe off roading something would break or fall off our 4x4 Nissan so we got back into dirt bikes. It’s been way more cost effective. Still, sure looks fun huh?
MusicCityRidgeline 09-27-2006, 08:20 PM Heck yeah it looks fun! :D
Ridge 09-28-2006, 04:52 PM THANKS, GREAT PICS! Hope you don't mind if I use those on a "real truck" forum if I ever need to make a point about the Ridgeline's abilities.
aaronjr112 09-28-2006, 06:51 PM sure by all by all means go ahead and use away!!:D
meanmachine19 09-29-2006, 12:03 AM Aaron, great photos and thanks for sharing them! Personally, I'd be nervous doing that to my RL, but then again, I've never been into off roading  (city boy in me I suppose).
Keep 'em coming! :D
brich 09-29-2006, 04:25 AM Cool pics for sure...Ok, I'll play Devil's advocate here. I think that's the term... It looks like your hitting mostly puddles off to the side. Wouldn't a real mud test have you more in the mud and less in the water off to the sides? To me it looks more like a lot of dirty water splash and no so much mud splash...
Not knocking your offroading here, rather generating conversation. I'm pretty sure those in the self proclaimed "real truck" world may make similar assessments. Any more info on the conditions here? The middle of the bog looks pretty slick. I can see a John Deer with some big "mudder's" spinning up quiet the frenzy.
Anyhow, cool shots. It looks a little more than I would attempt. But, your classifying yourself as a Ridgeline pioneer here. Keep up the advancement towards respect of the Ridgeline! :D
