For months we tried several times to have a Ridgeline meet/ greet for this area. It would appear that a whole lot of thought did not go into the geography of our region. If you draw a line from extreme northeast to southwest and from extreme northwest to southeast the central point on our area would fall into Alabama. If you tried to bisect that line from North to South you would be out of luck because it would only extend to southern middle Tennessee. If we were to add Alabama and Georgia to our area then the central location would be in East Tennessee and the southern end of the Smokies. As a last resort, I would propose a meet/greet for a weekend this fall on the peaceful side of the Smokies in quaint Townsend, Tennessee. This would give everyone access to Cades Cove, the Tail of the Dragon, Gatlinburg, Cherokee, Pigeon Forge, Knoxville, camping, motels, restaurants, etc. I am submitting this poll to see if there is any interest. I have never done the poll thing so if I screw up, I apologize. If interest is shown then we can continue with our meet/greet at a time agreeable to all.

73 viewers and 2 replys. It is apparent that the Mid South RL owners are not ready to have a meet. If you can come up with a different time or place, let's go for it. We live in some of the most beautiful country in the world with many scenic places to have a meet. Such a shame we cannot get togeather.:(
I just read about the Tail of the Dragon on the Civic site... DANG! that looks fun! ...definitely not for people who get car-sickness.:p

The camping weekend was GREAT, but we were the only Ridgeline there. The park had plenty of folks that were asking questions about the truck and we even overheard some folks walking by talking about it.
As we were loading up to leave Sunday, three guys walking on the road were talking and one of them said to the other two, "Hey, that is one of those trucks with the storage in the bed. That is a great idea!" They didn't get up the nerve to come and ask to see it though.
Wish some of the ROC pals could have made it... the sunrise alone over the lake both mornings made it worth the trip.
I actually grew up outside of Columbia, SC. Camped at Dreher Island State Park many times. I there is a meet there, you can count me in. I might be in for Townsend too, I need to check it out
