Howdy folks,

Anybody know how to tap into the video signal contained in the "Din-A" cable leading to the OEM overhead display? I'm adding a G-Net adapter that allows composite video signals to be displayed on the front Nav screen and I want to connect the existing OEM DVD system's video signal to it.
Anyone know if a composite video signal is on the conductors in the Din cable, or is it RGB type ? (All this so the wifey can watch DVD's along with the kiddies.):rolleyes:

Here's the link to the G-Net system for all interested.

OK Folks, I believe the "Din-A" cable leading to the OEM overhead rear monitor is a standard S-Video type. An S-video Y adapter plugs in to the rear of the OEM DVD player, The OEM cable leading to the overhead display then plugs into one side of the Y. The other side of the Y gets the S-Video to RCA cable. The RCA end of this cable then plugs into the G-Net unit.

Svideo/RCA Cable-->http://www.cablewholesale.com/specs/10s2-32006g.htm

I'm going to set it all up and post the results.....

Green (22 pin) connector behind Ives DVD player; Pin 5 is the video out (+) according to instruction provided by AVElectronic.com Nav Video Interface. I paid $265.00 including shipping for their 2 video input version Interface. They also have the TV TUner version with S-Video for Car PC. Hope this help! Their website is: http://www.avelectronic.com

I dissassembled the rear OEM monitor and realized that the unit does not use a standard s-video interface as originally expected. Oh well....

There are two cables with mini-Din style plugs on the back of the OEM DVD player. The "B" cable goes to the dash head unit, the "A" cable goes up to the rear OEM monitor.

Anybody know the pinout of the "A" cable ???? Any adapters available ???

Since I had the Ives, I have always wanted to move the audio from the FM transmitter to an aux input.
Does anyone know where I can find the pin outs for the audio side of the connectors?

Thanks,

Alan

Does anyone have the FM modulator from the Honda IVES?

If not, I'll just buy a new one...
here is the part number for those that are looking as well...
