I'm looking to upgrade my RTS 160 watt radio to aftermarket AVIC 71. Will the speakers sub and am work if I don't replace them. Can I leave the double din stock radio and mont this avic 71 single din below it and get it to work?

Sorry for the late reply on your post but I think you mean the AVIC Z1 not 71. Is there an AVIC 71? The AVIC Z1 is a double DIN unit...you must remove your existing HU to mount the Z1. Also, the Z1 has a built-in amp...it will power 4 channels (that's it). What this means is your sub will not have power...you will need to get a separate amp to run the stock sub. Honda's stock HU has an internal amp that runs the sub. Hope this helps. If there is an AVIC 71, can you please post information on it...I could not find information on it on the Pioneer site. :cool:
