We've got in on our calendar. Might want to find the "Pavilion" (the original medicinal springs) for a photo session, too :)

T Mac said he can put this on the club calendario as well!

I nominate k757 as meet-meister & brew-bubba.

Sorry you can't make it, but I do gotta say that I LUST after a green TR-6. For reasons that my wife is better off not knowing about ;)

Would a Gulf Shores meet in the future work better for you? That's also known as LA (Lower Alabama)...

I nominate k757 as meet-meister & brew-bubba.

I agree with you djeaux about the meet-meister, but the brew-bubba might be a problem, we are going to a fairly small brewery and I'm not sure what their daily production is and I want some beer too!:D

Look forward to seeing everyone on the 28th, Mrs. Cajun has it on her calendar as well.

I just finished off an Abita Light a few min ago. We had a Mardi Gras party and I found a local place that carried it. I was surprised to find it available around here in the DC area.

I wish I could be there.

Now we know what the "k" in "k757" really stands for -- KINGFISH.

EVERY MAN A KING!

Who put up the hospitals & build you schools?
Who looks after sh*tkickers like you?
The Kingfish do."

I never knew Abita made beer. I do buy their bottle water.
Bought some Abita Purple Haze, and Turbodog. Not bad.
Just getting ahead start on the tasting room.

I can't wait myself & I'm hopin' the weather cooperates.

Has anybody pulled down the Google Earth map & targeted any likely participants in the NOLA area? I haven't heard a peep from Ridgeline2006 about this & he's in Metairie... (I'd do the Googling but for some arcane reason Google Earth & my nVidia video card do not play nice & the result is blue screening...)

KH4800: My wife & I will probably be shooting into Covington at some point to visit her cousin, but I'll be in touch this week about possibly caravanning over with you. We could meet at Beatline Road or some place...

If anyone is thinking they might come, post a note or send me a PM and I'll update the reservation to get you in there.

My friend and I are considering bringing (pedal) bikes and going for a bike ride on the Tammany Trail after if time is available. So we won't be consuming that much, though it may make the bike ride more interesting! Of course, that is still being decided, but likely my truck will two bikes locked down in it.

I hope I remember to drive my Ridge and not my Civic! hahaha, The vic is a lot of fun. The gas pedal is usually horizontal with high revving shifts and still gets 30 mpg (60% city). Hmmm... I wonder what mpg I could get if I drove like a sane person

Saturday morning will be busy for me while getting a wash on the RL. Man, that means I have to get up and moving in the morning.... sigh

I plan to leave the BR area at 11 am.

<BAD PUN>On an unrelated note, since k757 refers to the small coupe as a "vic" I have to wonder if he puts a set of "diadem" lights on it will he have a "Crown Vic" </BAD PUN>

What a great day... ROC'rs, lots of laughs, stories, FOOD!, FREE BEER (which the ladies seemed to have more than the guys... hmmm) and weather (what a day!).

I got there just before noon and I joined the crowd. It was neat seeing so many RLs parked around. We hung out for a bit chatting and Joe Djeaux broke the ice and wanted to see my sills! hahaha. Then we all looked around at each others trucks. I never get tired of that. I am not sure who suggested going in the BrewPub for a few beverages ;), but I suspect the ladies! hahaha We had a few and headed over to the Brewery, not far, maybe a 2 minute drive. The brewery has a back room with many taps set up for your helping... and we did! the whole scene reminded me of a frat party in college. I preferred the Light and the Purple Haze. The tour was pretty good but was a bit tough to hear the tour guide. I think the ROCrs intimidated him, especially the ladies! hahah We had a few more beverages and went outside for some photos of the trucks. We then headed back over to the BrewPub and as I drive up, I see Tony's Ridge. So we are looking it over and this guy comes out and walks by us and unlocks the Ridge, we yell "TONY!!" and he turns and looks at us like we are insane and how do you know my name?!! We go in, eat, have great conversation and headed out. I had a burger there and for $7 I got a 10 oz dang good burger... I was overstuffed. The salads looked like they could feed a family of four, and if going there, pay the extra $1 and get the sweet potato fries YUMMM.

For those who could not make it, no worries, there will definitely be another meet in the near future. Our next location will have to have more parking as we will have more trucks attending.

Ok all, shoot over to the door sills thread and tell Ron (5S Dude) what you think of my chrome door sills! :D

Sorry I just found out about our Abita Springs thing. My 10 day old rtl and I swould've enjoyed quaffing a purple haze or two with your group.

I'm looking for an excuse to get to the southern climes of LA.

Thanks CCR for the Christmas card. Yours was the only card I received this year. Either people are not sending out card or I don't have as many friends as I thought I did "HI HI"
