Houston Meets..... any one?

Think about having a Houston Meets.... anyone coming? May be we can take a drive down to Freeport or Galveston...

I could make that trip to Houston, only 4 hrs or so to Houston. Keep an eye on the Gulf Coast group, we already had one meet (~5 hrs from you) and are already working on the second one

I'd probably be game, depending on location and if my company dones not have me traveling at that time.

Just like Bubba - as long as work doesn't interfere....gotta work some OT to buy new goodies. The piggy is a bit skinny for a week or two.....

Well... now that I know I'm not going to be alone in this, let set a time and place and what kind of activities are we going to do at the meets. Any ideas... meet somewhere and have food and chat? and take a drive some where..... ???

i went to an AccordV6.com meet in houston before.

I'll be in Gavelston maybe like first or second week in July I'd go for a meet.

OK Houston! Here is a meet that I am about 90% sure I am going to attend. Officially it is called an RSX meet, but they have invited everyone! I asked! They want me to bring my RL as they love them! :D

+ Meet up with some Houston ROCrs and see what the RSX club has going on. I assume that this will be medium length time frame.
+ open to any suggestions on activities after that. A woman I work with made mention of some huge mall, I dunno. I'd love to get some photos and eat at a BBQ place :D

Which area are U going to be staying.. the park is close to I10 and there should be a lot of places to wash your truck.

That's down on Westheimer and 610. East of the park

There is an Omni hotel on I-10 and Eldridge (about 2 miles from the park).
There is a big Holiday Inn at Hwy6 and I-10, about 4 miles from the park.

The Galleria Mall is indeed world famous, but I would steer clear of that area during this time of year, you could be in for a surprise if you haven't seen so many people crammed in for holiday shopping. Trust me on this one, it gets ugly!

There is another huge mall closer to the park called Katy Mills, about 10 miles west on I-10.

I think the incoming Dallas RSX people are staying at the Holiday Inn you mentioned.

I was thinking that if everyone lives fairly close by, they are more likely to be able to make it, even for a bit. I hope to meet you!

Well, I have to work, but I think I can get a couple of hours free. The only other issues are getting my new running boards installed in between now and then, and of course giving the BRT (Big Red Truck) a bath.

Something has come up on sunday morning for me and I will not be able to make it to Houston. I am HIGHLY disappointed, but this situation here is very important that I can not miss. :mad: :( :( :(

Houston we have a problem.....

Sorry, ended up working almost 10 hours yesterday, and posting this from work now. I am working what is supposed to be a M-F office job, but we have a project deadline of 29 December, and the OT will help pay Christmas bills........
