So I got the 3Sixty installed, it's replacing the cheapo LOC's that were tucked under the stereo console. The 3Sixty's mounted up under the dash way over to the right of the glovebox.
I hooked it all up and turned the amp inputs back up after configuring the 3Sixty and damned if there wasn't annoying alternator whine. Except it's not alternator whine, it's about the same high pitch as most alternator whines I've heard, but it happens even with the engine off and is a long sweep tone (like a 20 second cycle). I'm completely stumped - Haven't spent any time troubleshooting it yet.
I'm thinking it might be wires running too close to the heater fan (It looks like a fan assembly is below the glovebox). I'll try re-routing the wires a bit, but outside of that, any ideas how to rid myself of the whine?
