: Many questions.......
mugen1 05-23-2005, 10:35 AM Where are all of you from?
I'm talking real Ridgeline owners and not posers, lurkers, or losers who come on this site to harrass RL owners.
I am from the Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada region.
I would like to start either a local or regional Ridgeline Club, but have no idea how many owners are from my area.
I would also like to know what the age range all of you are from. Just to see what type of people drive these vehicles.
I have many questions - just got the RL about three weeks ago.
Is there anything only RL owners will know so we can determine posers from real owners?
I understand Ridgelines are built somewhere in Eastern Canada. Where else are they built?
If there is more than one manufacturing plant, can some of the problems mentioned on this board be traced back to the manufacturing plant via, let's say, VIN number?
I know my old 89 Civic was one of the very few that were actually made in Japan. Over the years of car stereo competitions and turning the Civic into a quarter-mile drag machine, I've noticed differences in build and parts quality - know this from comparing to all my friends' Civics. BTW, I've had my 89 Civic Si since I bought it off the showroom floor in November of 88. I have stripped the car to complete metal many a times and know every inch of the car. This time around the RL is going to stay relatively intact, except for the sound system.

I am in Northern Oregon and would be interested in a NW group assuming we could meet in a some what central area or rotate the meeting place around.
As for my age I am 32, and have owned Honda / Acura products since I started driving.
nwdiver 05-23-2005, 11:49 AM I'm 30 miles north of Seattle and I do recall at least one other poster that was in the Seattle area too. I'm 36...or is it 37...let's see, yep 36. Whew! :)
I'm waaay down here in sunny Florida. Maybe a NW meet would be a good idea for a vacation. . .
35 years old and enjoying everyminute of it!!

Western Massachusetts.
Past the midpoint of forty.
Ask them how many scratches are in their bed. If they say "lots", "too many", or "who cares, it's a truck", they're real owners. If they say "none", or "what do you mean", they're either board trolls or poseurs. :)

Why does this suddenly sound like a post at a singles chat room?
Got my Black RTL with Navi about three weeks ago. Traded in my four-year old Tahoe for it.

Age 34
Steel Blue EX-L Navi, roof rack, running board and back up cam.
shortspark 05-23-2005, 08:07 PM I'm an RTL owner and loving every minute of it just like a kid, even though by most of the standards I'm reading here I'm an "old fart" - I'll be 58 this year. I live off a very nice par 3 at a golf community called Holly Lake in the "pinney woods" in the eastern part of Texas where I settled in after retirement in 1995. Golf in the mornings and sit in my Ridge in the afternoons - it don't get any better than that!
denvrfan 05-23-2005, 08:13 PM I'm approaching the big 5-0 and I live in the beautiful state of Virginia. I've owned my RL for about 2 months (my 5th Honda product since 1999). Unfortunately, a short 6.5 mile commute gets me to the office way too fast. Haven't taken a real road trip yet but can't wait based on the supreme comfort of the interior.
Ultra-HOG 05-23-2005, 08:24 PM Hold on everybody! We gotta start charging for all of this information! The market research value of this thread alone is worth a fortune to Honda - and their competitors! Just kidding! Maybe Honda will bring donuts and coffee to the owners focus group meetings that they are supposedly having. Actually, this is great! I learn something every day from the ROC site. Until now, I thought that only Harley Davidson had such a brilliant marketing scheme as the Harley Owners Group where the club, the manufacturer and the dealers all contribute and support each other so that everyone wins. To me, the HOG club and this ROC site are a very significant part of the ownership experience. :)
Age: 54, going on (varies, 16 ~ ?)

Black RTL-Navi
I have only suspected one or two board trolls on this site, but mostly harmless. There is one presently (temporarily?) on the off roading thread.
The very fine members of this ROC site have provided an incredible amount of first hand knowledge about a wide variety of subjects. I will never be able to thank them all enough. This ROC site and the many fine members definetely did influence my purchasing decision and continue to make owning a Ridgeline a very special, exciting and fun experience. I wish you the best with yours. :)

Bellteck, I bet you are pretty bummed that the Ridgeline didn't come with adjustable pedals, with those short legs you have.

I am a real person , pinch, yes I am real just checking and I bought this truck having never owned a Honda auto before. I traded in a Chevy Avalanche and I am really glad that I did , this is one fun truck to own and drive. I really enjoy reading all the great post and have taken my truck in to get the wind noise fixed. I noticed it the first day driving but would have written it off as the way it was and not even tried to have it fixed if it was not for this site.
I can afford to drive any auto I wish for and I cannot think of anything better for me than this Honda. I will keep it for at least 5 years unless they come out with a V 8 next year then I will trade up.
Thank you all for your time and energy you put into this site,
it is really cool,,
