i was just wondering who lives near by in case i need to call on someone or the other way around. i live in san gabriel valley. bout ten minutes away from Los Angeles. What about you guys???

Aloha SOCAL ROCers I'm over in mid-county Santa Barbara. Just wanted to say that I'm stoked on Google Earth. I used it to Map out the Refugio Road that connects the beach to Santa Ynez Valley. It turns to dirt on the valley side and somewhere close is the old Ronald Reagan Ranch. The road has been closed for repair but branches to the south across the top of the hills (Celio West) to Hwy 154 and Cold Springs Tavern (most excellent bar & restaraunt) on a paved narrow road on top of the world.:cool:

Well, there's an ongoing meet being planned. Its the EOC / ROC Death Valley Group Camping Meet. In Feb. 23 - 25, There will be at least 5 to 7 RL's going to this, and should be fun.

Yup, go there with the family..we can walk to the Track and walk back. Awesome track huh...I wonder how the Ridge would like a rubber road.:p

I use to assist my ex-wife with a youth track club that trains at Biola. If you ever see my Ridgeline up there, that's usually where I am.

February in Death Valley if you are into camping, March the second weekend in Dana Point (2nd Annual SoCal ROC Meet and Greet)

Hi SoCal ROCers,
On mid day Christmas eve we drove down Hwy 101 from Santa Barbara to Camarillo and from Port Huemene on Hwy 1 to Manhattan Beach there was little to very little traffic. When we moved over to the 405 Hwy they were movin (80, 85, plus). I stayed down to 75 and stayed in the middle lanes. There were some fast Lemmings out there from Torrance, Long Beach, and Orange County area. I had the 73 Toll Road almost to myself. Some folks blew on by at 90 plus. From there we got back over to the south bound 5 Freeway to San Juan Capistrano for a Starbuck coffee break. Only saw one or two other Ridgelines on the route and yes I waved. From there we went by Camp Pendleton like it was a Grand Prix. We arrived in Encinitas after 4 hours of trucken for a few hours and then on to Chula Vista later that night. What a great ride, the roads we have in SoCal are a blessing. :cool: I was thinkin about all the SoCal members and the meet and greet that was scheduled on saturday (sorry to miss it). How'd it go?

It was cool! Thank GOD for hot coffee! Lots of different vehicles old, new, stock, mods, inexpensive, cost you and I an arm, leg, and first born! It's my understanding that they do this every Saturday morning! 6 Ridgeslines were there and we stayed until the lot was half empty. I went home afterwards and cleaned my condo! :(
