Maybe I could have it automatically pop-up out of the moon roof when I open it so I can change lanes. :) That kinda looks natural with the RL's bold body style/lines. :D gadgetz 12-08-2006, 03:21 PM Perfect height for shooting from the bed. :D Hey...They didn't have that option when I bought mine  MikeT 12-08-2006, 05:29 PM Perfect height for shooting from the bed. :D Who put the Iradi Ridge in there ;) I use the tailgate as a rest. With it lowered in the "traditional" manner, it is at the perfect elevation for use with my shooting stool :) And the bed acts as my brass catcher  Savage 110FLP 308 Winchester SSS Synthetic stock Leupold Vari-X 6.5 x 20 AO Harris Bi-pod Handloads [Sierra 168gr and 175gr MatchKing] produces .25 groups at 100 meters at 4 inch groups at 500 meters following the above conditions. kdogofjtown 12-08-2006, 05:32 PM What are you shooting at? I do benchrest target with a remington 700 in .30-06. ChrisM 12-09-2006, 12:34 AM I need one of those permanently mounted on my RTL roof just to maneuver around on the freeways here. :D - So Calif. I followed a RL home a couple of days ago for about 50 or so miles in my company car. The one thing that I kept on thinking was that at a 3/4 view from the rear, it sure does look like some sort of small armored personnel carrier. arteegee 12-09-2006, 12:42 AM Perfect height for shooting from the bed. :D Now that's a roof-rack.:D Outfitter 12-10-2006, 05:30 AM Perfect height for shooting from the bed. :D Nice pic G-Vac, I see you have the "little black rifle afliction also" What do you have? I have a Bushmaster V-Match 16" with a Trijacon reflex sight and a Nikon Monarch 3x9x50 scope that I switch back and forth depending on the varmints I am after. I also use a Streamlight M-6 light/laser for piggies at night. Mine is also real fond of Black Hills ammo.:D G-Vac 12-11-2006, 10:55 AM Nice pic G-Vac, I see you have the "little black rifle afliction also" What do you have? I bought the 6.8 for deer hunting and I love it. It pushes a 115 gr bullet at 2600 fps out a 16" barrel. It makes a sweet little still hunting rifle. I have a 2-7 Leupold on it which is nice for woods use. I didn't realize how addicting the AR platform could be. You'll like it I'm sure, it's a neat little cartridge! I ordered my upper from Model 1 sales. It's nice, but if I had to do over again I'd get one from Ko-Tonics. They've got the chamber specs to handle the hotter "combat" pressure loads, and build an all around great upper. Outfitter 12-12-2006, 03:07 PM You'll like it I'm sure, it's a neat little cartridge! I will probably use D-Tech, Mike Millie does some really great work on custom rigs for a bunch of the varmint hunters at Preditor Masters.com and is currently building one for a buddy of mine. I'll check it out and go from there. Thanks for the tips though.:D | |
