Yeah! I know this ain’t nothing for you guys back east but we were met with 42-degree rain today on our Sunday dirt bike ride and as we rode into the Southern California clouds this morning we came upon a little ice and snow which is pretty rare for this SoCal ROC-Head. Tons of fun to ride in though!

Riding through these slippery conditions for a SoCal ROC-Head on a dirt bike is kinda like dancing; actually I prolly looked more like a ballerina having a seizure though!!:D

The So Cal blizzard of '06! LOL....there goes any hope of me moving to California!! And a blustery 42 degrees, huh? Brutal, very brutal Ron!!! :D

Many people think of AZ as being hot, but we have higher altitudes here as well. Last week (in the early a.m.) driving to work the temps dipped down to 17 degrees here! It was 20 in Sedona when I got to work at 6 am....
But at least it doesn't stay that way all day, unlike everyone in the northeast and places like Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota......I'm definitely not a cold weather person (having lived in NYC for 33 years, hate the cold winters...)

I digress....Ron...watch out for those ice patches!

Thanks for tip Kev! I had no idea AZ gets that cold. Cindy & I can't wait to tow our trailer to Sedona and camp there. We're wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a bright New Year!!

Right back at you Ron from Kris and I!

We'll be out at Disneyland in March for a few days, likely when Tony will try for an 'anniversary' reunion of last year's big meet! :p

Awesome!! Give us a call and we'll get the SoCal gang together for a "Day at Disney" and have lunch together at the Rain Forest Cafe in Down Town Disney.

Your little guy will love that place!!!!

Ron...

Just had to dig this ole one up...

Not much snow to dance in! Now with your lastest post with the snow... there seemed to be enough snow to dance in.

Question is? Did you dance in your latest adventure?

a few years ago (Jan 1995) I had to go to LA for work for a couple weeks. one morning it was about 58 out, and I had to go down to Redondo. I passed one of those school crossing moms (a cute one, but I think they all are). she had on her earmuffs and mittens, which I'm sure she had been waiting for years to wear. I had just moved from Massachusetts, having lived in Chicago and Utah before that. now I'm living at about 49 degrees north. as funny as that seemed I think the joke's us cold weather folks!!

Heck if it is above 40 people wear shorts and Flip Flops in Colorado. They also go out hiking, riding Motorcycles and cruseing with the top down. I get thoes "You know your from Colorado when" e-mails and all of them are true.

I just moved from Redondo to Washington...I was quite used to the comfy SoCal weather...any temperature that was plus or minus 5 degrees from 72 was either cold or hot!

Wow! Talk about digging up an oldie!!

It is so rare to see anything resembling snow here that we were blown away. Keep in mind these pics were not taken in the local ski resorts but our favorite riding spot. It hardly ever rains here......:p

Sorry to rain on your parade... up here in Canada that's what we call a heavy frost;)
Its -15C most days, they're forcasting 15 - 25cm of "frost".... its nice and balmy here in Ontario compared with the -40C they are having in the Prairie provinces.
Out in B.C. avalanches are killing people daily.
You are correct about the Ridgeline handling adverse road conditions with ease... better than my Subaru Outback. :)

No need to be sorry. I’ve seen pictures of Canadian snowfall. At a –15° I’m feeling more sorry for you guys though……..Man! I can’t even imagine going outside let alone riding a motor cycle through that kind of cold.

Heck, the only snow we get to see without driving for hours is painted on the top of Disneyland's Matterhorn. :D

Stay healthy & warm up there.

Yep CU, I did get to go a little nuts in an abandon field while Cindy was still in the restaurant. Bummer no photos of the drifting Ridgeline though. It’s kinda big to be slinging sideways and I didn’t wanna clobber any hidden parking lot curb thingies so I kept ur safe and sane. The lady can dance though.:D:p
