Hello:
Just picked up my 2007 Ridgeline RTL w/Nav this weekend.
I'm interested in hooking up a back up camera but do not want
to purchase the one offered by Honda.
Does anyone have experience with wiring one up ? Has anyone
put one in themselves ?

There are wireless ones available as well as wired ones; do a forum search and you should find five or six different threads at least.

I know you said you don't want the Honda backup camera, but I put one in last weekend - it's a big job, but I like the camera. And in my view, it's worth the extra money to have it easily integrated into the navigation unit. With the help of a good friend who knew what he was doing, the total installation time was about 5 hours.

I have no experience with the following product, but try searching this forum and the web for Roadmaster's VR3 wireless backup camera.

Check out COSTCO. We were in the Huntsville, AL store late last week and they had a backup cameras at a very reasonable price.
