I just got my RL and if the weather is nice Saturday I plan to wash and wax. The first time I washed it I noticed that it is very difficult to get my hands between the bug guard and the hood and it will be even harder to wax between them. I visited the H & A web site and downloaded the installation instruction for the guard in case I decided to remove it but that seems like a lot of work just to wash and wax. How do you deal with it?

I just reach as far as I can without disturbing the air deflector. Not going to remove it, I installed my first one and it didn't seem to be something I was going to want to have to spend a lot of time resecuring.

We have had the air deflector on our ODY since day one and he does the same with his.

I don't see any problem with the paint from this and like the fact the deflector is secure.
