: Get a Civic Si Sedan ?
Since the Louisiana Honda Civic Meet, I am starting to have this desire for a ’07 Civic Si Sedan. I have test driven one already, for the heck of it, and it definitely was fun. Sure, I could get one, but here is the catch, I would have to trade-in my ’06 Ridgeline and my ’07 Civic LX coupe.
“IF” I make the change and get the Si Sedan, the goal would be to make the car as much a wolf in sheeps clothing as possible. I would remove the Si badging and all Si VTEC stickers as well. Ideally put the EX wheels on it which I would top off the sheep-look. “hey, look at that guy in that EX sedan…” then my engine growls and they see my taillights.

Or you could go the tuner route and buy all the Mugen goodies and look and feel young again……:p :D
Or you could go the tuner route and buy all the Mugen goodies and look and feel young again……:p :DTHANKS Ron!!! ...then when all of the little girlies are liking my tinted car, I step out and get called "you're a geezer!" Then again, chicks dig older guys!

Yeah, sometimes my son let’s me take his Si out for a short spin but I leave the windows up and just pretend……:D You’re still somewhat of a youngin by comparison so you can roll um down! Just get a hip set of sunglasses and you’ll be set…..LOL!!;)
djeaux 01-15-2007, 09:48 AM Keith a geezer?!? ROTFLMFAO!
I'd stick with the coupe because it's just faster looking. Forget "sleepers." You only burn somebody once. (If you want a real "sleeper" get an Accord Hybrid V6 ;))

My bigt hangup is that I really like my truck... hmmm.... taking the Nerf bars off and the door sills is the easy part and reselling them should not be difficult. But the love of having the best truck on the road... mmmm... more time to think.
Maybe I should go drive the Si Sedan again! LOL :D

I would have already had an Si coupe if I fit into the sucka! My head kept rubbing on the roof, but the sedan sits a bit taller, so I am good to roll.
djeaux 01-15-2007, 09:57 AM Another point, Keith... I thought you bought the Civic Coupe for the gas mileage. Before switching to the Civic Si sedan, you may want to test drive an Accord Coupe. I don't think the Si gets any better mpg than an Accord. But I assure you, the Accord has a lot more room. (Think back seat room, since you're not a geezer ;))

(Think back seat room, since you're not a geezer ;))The current coupe I have will be my one and only coupe I'll own. The wide swinging door make it more difficult to get in and out of. The backseat is too difficult to get too. The appeal of the Si Sedan is that it is a ~$21k four door race car. Until you've driven one, people just don't "get it".
I will consider an Accord
TheRidgester 01-15-2007, 10:27 AM Just a thought before trading the Ridge and the civic to buy a "de badged si"
Keep your coupe and build the tar out of it! a few K can get you 0 to 60 faster than the si out of the box (I think... its been a few yrs since I've built a car out:rolleyes: )

I also require space for 4 people. ...man, I want it all!

hauls ass and seats 4 adults.
Directman 01-16-2007, 01:25 PM Why not supercharge the Ridege and have the best of both worlds. Leave the windows down so everyone can see the big grin on your face.

I know this is an old thread, but I just wanted to say I have an Si sedan and am currently building it. When the weather permits, I'm going to de-spoiler her and put on the HFP decklid spoiler. She's getting debadged and a JDM front end with an 08 JDM Civic Type-R rear end. Stupid DHL still has my packages. :(
I wanted to use primarily Honda OEM parts (Acura included) to build a sleeper, even if those parts are not from this continent (the soon-to-be boosted K20Z3 wouldn't hurt either :D).

not quite. :/
i almost purchased an 07 civic si sedan myself. although it is 'quick' by most people's standards. it is NOT the fastest thing on 4 wheels.
